This CD, despite the 24 bit remastering job, doesn't to my ears offer a vast difference in sound quality over the original 10 track 1988 release. Where the new mastering job is noticeable are on "Do You Hear What I Hear", "Christmas Dinner, Country Style", and "Little Drummer Boy" with David Bowie. I've never heard "Do You Hear..." & "Dinner" sound so rich and full, with proper stereo separation. The Bowie duet too sounds the best I've heard, even better than on last years' MCA UK CD single with "White Christmas" & "Auld Lang Syne". The Bowie track uses all the dialogue from the TV special preceeding the song, so if you only want to hear the song, you have to FF through all of that. I would've preferred if the dialogue and song could've been two separate tracks.
