We take pride in our professional staff. All of our fitness instructors have at least a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, sports medicine or physical education. Each has experience in at least one of the following fields: cardiac rehabilitation, physical therapy, athletic training, strength and conditioning, nutrition and personal training.
Fitness Center & Northland Human Services Building Manager
Sheila Juenger graduated from Missouri Western State College in 1996 with a B.S. in Exercise Science. In 2007 she earned her Masters of Science in Exercise Science from the University of Central Missouri.
She completed the Physical Therapy Assistant program in 1998 at Penn Valley Community College. Her previous experience includes an internship in Cardiac Rehab at St. Luke's Hospital and physical therapy work with sports medicine and rehabilitation.
Sheila was named fitness center manager in July of 2001 after serving as a fitness instructor since June of 1998, and the membership specialist since December of 1999. Sheila is also a certified fitness instructor through the American College of Sports Medicine.
Fitness specialist, Aerobic Cordinator
Dalena Bologna graduated from Pittsburg State University with a Masters Degree in Physical Education.
She started her career at Johnson County Community college as an assistant track and field coach as well as an instructor in the fitness center on campus.
Before joining the team at Maple Woods, she worked for Corporate Fitness Works as an assistant director in State Street's wellness center in downtown Kansas City, MO. Dalena became a fitness spcialist with Maple Woods in June 2005.
