The Learning Center at the MCC-Business and Technology provides students opportunities to achieve their educational goals through one-on-one or group tutoring*, study groups, handouts, workshops, and computer tutorials. This tutoring is free for MCC students. The Learning Center is located in Room 176G, inside the MCC-Business and Technology Library. In most cases, no appointment is necessary. Organizing a group of students for tutoring is also encouraged. Tutoring is available during regular class sessions according to the schedule below.
*Tutoring is provided on a first come first serve basis. One-on-one tutoring is not guaranteed, and you may have to wait for assistance. If many students are present, a tutor will be rotating among students.
We provide assistance to students in math, reading, writing, study skills, test-taking strategies, as well as basic computer support. In addition, we have computers and a printer available so that students can work online with assistance from a tutor. Our computers contain training software for HVAC, CISCO, EHSS, ETEC, and INTE so that students can study and practice those skills.

- Bring your textbook, assignment directions, class notes, and syllabus to the tutoring session.
- Come prepared with questions for the tutor.
- Plan Ahead - don't wait until the day of the test to visit us.
- Attend class every day, as tutoring is not a substitute for class attendance.
